B. P. Poddar Foundation for Education, a ?rust?named after Late Badri Prasad Poddar, a great philanthropist and ex-Chairman of IIT Kharagpur, was set up with the sole aim of enhancing and enriching the quality of technical, medical and management education in our country. The first milestone of its achievement in the field of education was the establishment of its first Engineering Institute named B. P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology. Thereafter, a number of other Institutes and a research centre have also been set up by the Foundation.
About BPPIMT
In 1999, B.P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology (BPPIMT) was set up as a tribute to late B.P. Poddar, a visionary philanthropist, educationist and founding father of the group. Supported by the B.P. Poddar Foundation for Education, a trust dedicated to enriching the quality of technical education in the country, the institute is affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal (MAKAUT) and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). B.P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology aims to better society by bettering the education system. Its ambition resets on its unique learning culture that encourages collaboration and communication and the dedication of its experienced faculty picked from diverse fields.
