Admission

HIDSAR started Bachelor of Dental surgery (BDS) program from the session 2007-08 with the affiliation of West Bengal University of Health Sciences and is recognized by Dental Council of India and Ministry of Health and family Welfare Govt. of India. From the session 2015-16 the college has got permission to start Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) Post Graduate course in 6 different specialties and from 2017-18 in another one specialty.

HIDSAR provides a strategic blend of young & experience faculties who act as a perfect mentors for the students guiding & nurturing them to become the key factor for the development of the region and the country.

The Institute provides the best academic environment set within a self contained lush green campus having four 120 seater lecture halls with hi-tech audiovisual equipments, international quality OPDs, ultra modern equipments and a world class anatomy museum.

State-of-the-art labs for all departments, Pre-Clinical Prosthetics and Material Lab, 32 piece ceramic labs with equipment from Manfredi, Italy. Minor OT facilities comparable to modern hospitals and access to latest machines and technology insuring that the students have a hands on practical experience.

The Institute has a library that is awe inspiring. There is a separate Central library having about 8000 sq. ft. area with 4389 books, 71 Indian and foreign journals (with 10 years back volumes), EBSCO online Journals (250), about 400 free full text medical E-journals, 386 educational CDs, and class lecture for backup learning. There is also an automated digital library with Integrated Library Management Software (LIBSYS) which adds another feather to the institute cap.
